Mike’s advice for new trail runners Always know where you are. Know a terrain feature that can guide you back to your start. Tell someone where you are going and how long you plan to be gone. What trail running means Mike Trail running is injury prevention. Trails are easier on your body than roads or concrete. The turns in trails naturally force a runner to slow down which is perfect for not expending too much energy on easy days. It was awesome to witness my friend translate his talent and hard work into a life changing race/career. Fun fact I have been running for almost 18 years now.
