So much more than just "exercising" or getting fit. It's more mental than anything else. Its my meditation time, my focus time, my recharge time. It's a my personal opportunity to explore, create, and grow into my best self.

Best advice for new trail runners
You might be surprised by just how much you really can run, even when you feel like you can't. When you're out on the trail, focus on running the runnable bits, and hiking the rest to recover. You'll be surprised how fast you find yourself feeling comfortable on more challenging trails.
Colin's most memorable/proud run/race
The 2018 Superior 50 Mile. It was my first 50 miler, and the culmination of months of consistent, long, summer miles. I had my family and closest friends there with me, and won't ever forget it. Fun fact I have been to all of Iowa's 99 counties.
